Jennifer Akers is the co-founder of LEAD UP INTERNATIONAL and founder of Courage Consulting and Coaching, and a highly respected international consultant, coach, and advisor in the fields of leadership, organisational performance, and justice administration. With a professional background that spans over four decades, Jennifer has worked across Australia, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific, earning a reputation as a transformative leader and trusted guide for individuals, teams, and institutions navigating complex change.

Jennifer is a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and Leadership and is one of a few accredited Assessors for accreditation as Chartered Manager for Australia and New Zealand.  She has been engaged for senior advisory roles with the Federal Court of Australia, United Nations, World Bank and a variety of law and development NGO’s across the world.  She has also been an academic for the University of the South Pacific for over five years. She brings a wealth of experience across business, government, and academic domains, combining strategic insight with deep human understanding.

With an extensive track record of working with senior leaders including Chief Justices across the globe, Jennifer uses her global experience and applies a systems-thinking approach fused with contemporary leadership philosophy to support individuals and organisations achieve their goals.

She is widely regarded for her unique ability to work at both the grassroots and governance levels—empowering individuals while simultaneously designing sustainable structures for collective impact. Her work has shaped national programs, rebuilt post-conflict courts, and brought about measurable performance improvements in leadership systems.

As an executive coach, Jennifer draws on the LEAD UP Performance Code that cultivates physical, emotional, relational, spiritual, and visionary wellbeing to help clients go deeper and mindset shifts to thrive in work and life.
