Jennifer Akers is the co-founder of LEAD UP INTERNATIONAL and founder of Courage Consulting and Coaching, and a respected international consultant, coach, and advisor in the fields of leadership, organisational performance, and justice administration. With a professional background that spans over four decades across over 20 countries, Jennifer has a reputation as an experienced and trusted guide for individuals, teams, institutions and corporations seeking transformation, growth and navigating complex change.

Jennifer is a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and Leadership and is one of a few accredited Assessors for accreditation as Chartered Manager for Australia and New Zealand.  She has been engaged for senior advisory roles with the United Nations, World Bank, Federal Court of Australia, and a variety of law and development NGO’s across the world.  She has also been an academic for the University of the South Pacific for over five years.

With an extensive track record of working with senior leaders, particularly in judiciaries across the globe, Jennifer applies a systems-thinking approach fused with contemporary leadership philosophies to help individuals and organisations achieve their goals at ​both the grassroots and governance levels. Her work has helped shape national programs, rebuild post-conflict justice systems and brought about measurable performance improvements.

As an executive coach, Jennifer draws on the LEAD UP Performance Code that cultivates physical, emotional, relational, spiritual, and visionary wellbeing to help clients go deeper and mindset shifts to thrive in work and life.
